Archie : aka DJ FABULOZ
DJ Fabuloz is Scotland's number 1 R&B DJ and one of the most respected Urban Promoters in the UK. Heavily influenced by his brother 'DJ Candyman' and also surrounded by music from a very early age, a young, inquisitive Fabuloz started sneaking into his brother's clubs and hiding in the booth. After witnessing the reaction his brother received in the clubs, he soon caught the bug and it wasn't long before he was playing in the same clubs himself.
A move to the Edinburgh from London in 1997 led to a variety of residencies across Scotland. His accomplishments are varied; with his night Urban quoted as "One of the most enthusiastically attended Urban joints" by Blues & Soul magazine. Fabuloz was also behind the renowned and ridiculously successful RnB purist night Diggity in 2001.
Aside from hosting one off events such as MTV's official Sean Paul after party (feat. live PA from Missy Elliot, Pharell, Mr Vegas and more), Fabuloz has played alongside guests including: Trevor Nelson, Terri Walker, Ronnie Herel & Shortee Blitz. He also launched his own label Fabtrax Productions catering for the wealth of Scottish RnB talent. His first signing in 2004, RnB diva Flo's material picked up pre-release radio play from specialist shows on BBC 1 Xtra, Choice FM, Beat 106 and Metro.
Fabuloz is currently working hard promoting his brand latest club night Urban Events which has already become such a popular feature on the clubbing calendar, seeing fans attending its parties in record numbers from all over Scotland. Expect the sexiest RnB, UK Funky, Hip Hop, Dancehall and classic party anthems when Fabuloz is on the decks.

Place of Birth: Dundee
How long have you been DJ’n?
I’ve been around the clubs & pubs of Dundee & Angus now for a couple of years.
How did you get into DJ'n?:
I have my best mate to thank for this, about 5 years ago we messed about in my house with software we found on the internet that allowed you to mix two tracks together. He took it more serious at first and landed himself a residency in a nightclub. He couldn’t make it one night so he asked me to cover for him and ever since that night I was hooked!
Favourite Tune of all time:
Steve Angello & Laidback Luke Ft Robin S - Show Me Love
Hated Tune of all time:
Pussycat Dolls – Jai Ho
Best Place you’ve played:
I have a residency on Saturdays nights in a nightclub at the moment which I enjoy but the best venue is the Underground as its quite an intimate club and the people who go there are so versatile, they enjoy a mixture of all types of music
...and the worst place?
There have been a few pubs I’ve played in when I first began but I guess I was just gaining some experience.
Best thing about being a DJ?
Being appreciated for the job you do, meeting new people all the time and listening to loud music
...and the worst?
Having a ringing noise in your ears after each night, I’m constantly being reminded that I should be wearing earplugs.
What would you do if you weren’t a DJ?
I have a day job as well as so when I’m not DJ’n I’m catching up on much needed sleep!
My top ten favourite tunes this month:
1.Time Berg- Bromance (Avicii Remix)
2.Duck Sauce - Barbra Streisand
3.Kelis – 4th of July
4.Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP - We Speak No Americano
5.Eminem – Love the way you lie (feat, Rihanna)
Charlie Duthie
Hardest working man in DJ world? Tireless? However you want to put it, be sure of one thing, when DJ Charlie Duthie first heard the phrase "Don’t sleep” he obviously took it literally.
From the beginning..
Over the last decade few people can have put so much time and energy into the culture they love.
Founder of Duthie Event Management, which provide Entertainment for many Bars & Clubs over the East Coast of Scotland and Event Management to events including Best Bar None Awards and Crail Raceway in Fife which plays host to upto 6000 people.
Charlie's DJ Sets have taken him all over the country and further afield including 4 dates in Ibiza earlier in the year.
On the festival front Charlie presented a radio show from backstage at T in the Park 2010, and he is playing the Mothers Ruin Arena at the Belladrum Festival 2010 alongside, Amy Macdonald, Feeder, Candi Staton.
On the radio side of things he presents The Evening Show between 6-10pm Mon- Fri on Dundee's only dedicated radio station WAVE102fm.
