Steve is a self confessed music nerd with a Zane Low-esq. appreciation of music across most genres. His encyclopedic knowledge of music has laid the foundation for an exciting cross-genre style of deejaying that has kept him busy since 1999.
Steve's music policy is simple - READ THE ROOM!
"With such a varied clientele, you have to be prepared to play anything." Says Steve. "I have a knack for reading a crowd quickly and working off their reaction. Too many Dj's force their own sound on a crowd and have pre conceived ideas about what they will play. I find that a bit boring, I like going to a gig not knowing who will turn up or what they will want to hear. That's not to say you play any random crap in your box, every tune must be chosen carefully and mixed intelligently"
Catch Steve at one of his many residencies across Scotland and you will hear him play House grooves with RnB, Funk, Disco, Chart, Indie & Cheese! - all mashed together with Steve's "Controllerism" technique - embracing the cutting edge of Deejaying technology.
"The new technology has given me total control over every aspect of the mix", Steve says excitedly "I can effectively remix and mash up any tune on the fly with 4 decks at my disposal, but still retain the hands on feel of vinyl! I'm totally hooked, the possibilities are endless!"
In 2008 Steve was booked for the Sun's Miss Scotland Final in Princess Square where he played to a star studded audience of over 2500 people. More recently Steve played at designer label Ed Hardy's national tour party with DJs Buddy Love & David Craig.

DJ Gerard Mimnagh, is on every Saturday at the Loft from 9pm!
Gerard likes to play Indie, House, Electro, Pop, and Classic Rock. He enjoys playing at the Loft because there is always a great crowd who are out to have a good time. The range of people allows him to play anything from the newest pop classic house to RNB, indie and guilty pleasures in between.
His all time favourite band is Led Zeppelin.
