"I had a lovely meal at 'The Bothy'. The place itself has a lovely atmosphere - quiet and warm. Staff were pleasant without being intrusive. I had parsnip and honey soup to start which was piping hot and served with 2 different types of bread. My main was fish and chips - the fish was moist, the batter was light and crispy and the chips seemed homemade. For pudding I had lovely ice cream and brandy snap. Overall 3 excellent courses, 2 lemonades and a tea came to £23 which I felt was very reasonable." 18th Nov 2010 - Trip Advisor.

"Had a lovely meal here before a show at the concert hall which is a close by. Our service was perfect and the food was well presented and the portion sizes were perfect. I had starter and main course and couldnt manage a pudding. Previous people on this forum have made comments about the speed of service - they must have taken this on board as out service was perfect and the food arrived quickly. I would go there again and would recommend it." 7th Nov 2010, Trip Advisor

"The service was fantastic. Atmosphere was good, decor great and the chairs where comfortable. Food was delicious. I had there sausages and mash followed with ice cream. wine was bit expensive at £22 a bottle but still enjoyable. Second time i've been there this month both times at 6pm." 24th October 2010 - Trip Advisor

"I called the Bothy Perth to book in for my brother's birthday for a group of 6 of us. We had a fantastic meal. It was very busy, but it seemed like the staff kept on top of it all. The food was fantastic and we had excellent recommendations from the server." May, 2010 Helen Anderson

"Went to The Bothy for a meal with my wife and found this restaurant whilst in Perth. There is one in the West End of Glasgow which is good so we thought we would give it a try. The place was quite busy, it being 6:30 on a Saturday, I was glad I booked in advance. We had a drink beforehand in the bar which is connected then sat near the window. We had a great meal and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. If ever in Perth you should try it out." March 2010, Craig Breen.
